You can see that the backround is using two different bold colours (for challenge 10). I have also made the one of the papers two thirds and one, one third (for challenge 11) and I have also use the same photo twice on the same layout (for challenge 12).

You can see here the smaller one of the two photos with the flower emblishments and a little ticket saying 'play'.

In this photo you can see the pink glittery thickers by American Crafts for my title and the tag with the date on them.

Then on the left hand side you can see a Spanish fan stamp (for challenge 8) and then you under the photo is Little Musling's journalling cards (for challenge 13) - but instead of printing them colour I printed it black and white.

You can see in this photo the close-up detail of the feet and the ink fan stamp on the left side of my layout.

Shimelle On-Line Crop Weekend - Challenge Four

Over the weekend Shimelle is hosting a series of challenges over at shimelle.com. The forth challenge was to create a scrapbooking layout using the paper/card colours of grey, yellow and one other colour of your choice, the colour I chose was green. See the full challenge here.

Here you can see I have used the colour's grey for the background (even though the card looks blue in the photo), green and grey papers and also yellow (but again in the photo looks orange). I have also used green letters (once again they look blue).

Shimelle On-Line Crop Weekend - Challenge One

This weekend there are scrapbooking challenges over at shimellle.com. The first challenge was to create a scrapbooking page using the inspiration from Jaime Warren's layout:

From Jaime's layout I have taken the inspiration of the colouring of the background - pink/red. I have also used the same positioning but using different embellishments, for example - I have positioned my buttons in the same place as Jaime's flowers and butterflies.

Here is a close-up of some of the embellishments I have used on my layout.

Journal Your Christmas 2011 - Day Nineteen

Today's the nineteenth prompt of Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas course. Time has flown by, but anyway today's prompt is about 'Writing to Santa'.

I always love writing to 'Santa' about what I'd love to have for Christmas. I just love it when Santa leaves his presents underneath the Christmas Tree and you open up the next morning! But I used one of my Christmas Cards from Marks and Spencer and folded up and stuck it to the card.

Journal Your Christmas 2011 - Day Five

This is the fifth prompt of Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas course. This prompt was about 'Counting Down'.

For this prompt I decided make six windows, and put the number of days until something scheduled happens and what happens. There is red card behind the windows and in white pen I've written what happens after so many days...

Journal Your Christmas 2011 - Day Two

This is my second page of Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class; today's prompt was about the weather.

Being ill today, I had a day off school and I went to get some fresh air with Mum and when we did I took these photos (attached to my page). It's quite interesting actually, this time last year the whole of the United Kingdom had heavy snow fall, but this year we had coldness and sunshine.

Journal Your Christmas 2011 - Day One

This is my first page of Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class. This is my first 'proper' year of doing J.Y.C. I did start an album last year but learnt that 12x12 is way too big to keep up with, so I've gone a lot smaller this year -- A5. But I hope this year I can keep up with it this year and actually finish the album.

Journal Your Christmas 2011 Title Page

Here is my Title Page for Journal Your Christmas 2011!

**CHANGED** Journal Your Christmas 2011 Album

Here are my changed Journal Your Christmas album. I re-covered the album, used the wrapping paper behind the letters to make them stand out!

The album is from Paperchase and is in their Kraft range. The gold letters are from Hobbycraft, and the wrapping paper was actually from a present I got last year.

The colours that I'm going for this year are the tradition Christmas colours -- Red, Green and Gold.

Journal Your Christmas 2011 Album Cover & Title Cover

I know what your thinking its to early to be thinking about Christmas Album but I actually made the album and title page in January! But I have just now remembered that I haven't uploaded to mu blog yet!! But anyway - This year I'm going for traditional Christmas colours (Gold, Green and Red).

The album and the pages are the Kraft range at Paperchase. I also got the gold letter stickers from Hobby Craft. But the actual gift paper I used as a backround was a piece of gift wrap I received a present.

Anyway that's enough of Christmas talk - I'm now focusing on Learn Something New and I'm just deciding which album to use and I'm about to start making it, so expect another post soon!
